The best knife will not stay sharp for long if it is used on the wrong surfaces. Wood is a living material and gives when it is cut – but these incisions will close again later.

The high-quality beechwood cutting boards from TYROLIT LIFE are ideal for cutting bacon, bread and vegetables without damaging the blade.

If you notice while you are working that the blade could do with a little care, simply reach for the integrated ceramic sharpening stone and give your knife its usual sharpness again.

In line with the principle of simplification, TYROLIT LIFE combines two essential areas in one tool – the ideal cutting mat and a reliable helper for re-sharpening kitchen knives such as Santoku knives directly while cutting. This product is available in two sizes.

Fly Wheel Cut L (23cm)

Experience a completely new feeling when cutting. The high-quality Fly Wheel Cut L is manufactured in cooperation with the Tyrolean tool expert Stubai. The name is derived from the so-called flywheel cut, which can be performed effortlessly and instinctively with this knife.
The tall, long blade of this handcrafted knife, which is made in a 64-step process, reduces the risk of injury when the fingers are positioned correctly and enables quick, even and effortless cutting.
While the thumb and index finger stabilise the end of the blade, the tip of the knife always remains on the cutting board. The hand simply follows the movement of the lightweight (192 g) knife like that of a flywheel, ensuring a clean cut.

Fillet Cut (23cm, 110g)

The TYROLIT LIFE fillet cut is suitable not only for cutting meat and fish but also for thinly slicing fruit and vegetables.
The 120 g lightweight knife has an ideal degree of flexibility due to its geometry and the blade length of 23 cm. Thanks to this flexibility and the thin blade of the filleting knife, it is possible to cut close to the skin or to bones.
The special coating that characterises all knives in the DARKLINE knife series ensures low resistance and high sliding ability. This greatly reduces the adhesion of the material being cut.
