The Classic: Meat in All Variants
Meat is a staple for many when it comes to grilling. However, brisket can add some variation to this tradition. This cut is from the beef or veal chest. Since it’s quite muscular, it must be cooked properly at a low temperature, often for up to half a day, to ensure the connective tissue becomes tender.
For those grill masters with limited patience and time, we’ve discovered “Brisket à la minute”. This involves freezing a whole beef chest and then slicing it into wafer-thin pieces, ideally using an electric meat slicer. These slices are then placed on an extremely hot grill and seared for just under a minute on each side. The result is meat with the rich, savory flavor of a beef breast, yet as quick to prepare as a minute steak.
Vegetarian and Vegan Barbecue Ideas

Marinades, chutneys, and rubs introduce new flavor experiences. Have you ever tried the coffee rub? This spice mix with coffee compliments game and lamb exceptionally well and is easy to prepare with just a few ingredients. The rub should be dry-rubbed onto the meat, ideally the night before the BBQ event, and then cooked over direct heat. Pink onions and paprika-peperoncino chutney revitalizes classics such as chicken skewers and cheese platters. Today, the choice is even harder, given the availability of highly practical combination devices that allow you not just to grill, but also bake, cook, smoke, stew, or use a wok. The Kamado grill, part of the ceramic grills family, famous for the Big Green Egg, is a standout. Smokers are also widely cherished, as they cook food not directly over the fire. Alongside hybrid cars, there are hybrid grills, adaptable for use with either charcoal or gas.
